Join us for International Geocaching Day

With the 25th anniversary of Geocaching, we invite you to join us as we celebrate and thank Groundspeak for all they do for geocachers everywhere.

The main event takes place on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

But the fun will last several days. There will be lots of new geocaches, adventure labs and events to attend. And, of course, there are the beautiful mountains to visit and geocachers to meet.

ITINERARY 

10:00 Let the Block Party Begin! North Barn: Merchandise Sales, Tickets for Door Prizes, Food Vendors, Geo-Caching Cards trading, Trackables , etc…

10:45 Group Photo (West Side of North Barn)

11:00 Mt. Everest Seminar - South Barn: Colorado's very own Kenyansherpa telling about his climb to the summit of Mt. Everest! He is the LAST finder, and one of only three confirmed finders, of [GC2BX63], the EarthCache at the peak of Mount Everest. He found the cache on 5/21/2013. (This achievement in and of itself is incredible. But add to that the fact that he was in his 60s and is blind in one eye makes it even more astounding)

12:30 Cachly Seminar - South Barn: Listen to one of Cachly long-time Beta testers about some of the many advanced features Cachly offers.

2:00 Drawing Ticket Sales Close

2:00 Cachetur Seminar - South Barn: Have you heard of Cachetur but not sure what it is? Come to this session where we’ll start with an overview of Cachetur, basic trip set-up, how to use a trip in the app.

3:00 Trackable table closes

3:00 Drawing Prize Pickup: Any prize not picked up by 7:00 pm at the Rendezvous with Friends, Food & Fun event will go into a redraw at that event.

4:00 Rocky Mountain Geo-Rendezvous - The Block Party is over

Additional Events: 

Rocky Mountain GeoRendezvous has created 7 additional events have been published, starting Wednesday August 13th going through Sunday August 17th.  See the link below.  Come early and stay late. There will be plenty to do.

Geocaches: 

While there are already lots of Geocaches for you to find in the area, we will be placing new caches for the event.

Adventure Labs: 

We are planning new Adventure Labs to coincide with each event.
