Celebrating 25 Years of Geocaching in the DMV

 

The MGS is partnering with NoVAGO and the Frederick County Parks & Recreation to Celebrate 25 Years of Geocaching in the DMV.

 

The Maryland Geocaching Society(MGS) and Northern Virginia Geocaching Organization (NoVAGO) are proud to present "Celebrating 25 Years of Geocaching in the DMV" on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at the Snook Farm Agricultural Center at Utica Park in Frederick County, Maryland. The event will run from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

 

There will be side events on other days. More details to come later.

**There will be an Official GeoTour Kick-Off on Friday, September 19, 2025 in Frederick, Maryland. Keep an eye out. You should be able to complete and pick up your coin on Saturday at this event.**

 

Schedule will be as follows:

11:00 AM - 12:00 PM - Geocaching 101 - hosted by MGS

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM - Presentation with The Bomb Doctor, Kirk Yeager

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM - Presentation with WVTim on Gadget Caches

2:00 PM - 2:30 PM - Discussion with a Reviewer (FrancisScottKey)

2:30 PM - 3:30 - Geocaching 101 - hosted by NoVAGO

3:30 PM - 

 

12:00 - 2:00 - Geocaching and Orienteering Merit Badge event

 

 

ALL DAY Events will be:

• Games for kids, geocachers and non-geocachers
• Trackable Table
• Geocaches
• Adventure Labs

 

 

Parkplatz options are available nearby the venue for FREE.
