MOGA 2026
Another Dam MOGA
March 28th 2026
Saylorville Lake and Dam
Johnston, Iowa (Des Moines area)
MOGA 2026 Central will be at the Holiday Inn at 4800 Merle Hay Road, just south of Interstate 80/35. We will have a block of rooms for $109. Go to moga2026.us for reservation information.
Competitions will be held at sites near Saylorville Lake, courtesy of the USACE and Polk County Conservation.
The competition is the hallmark of every MOGA, where contestants race to find 30 orienteering punches hidden in the woods within 2.5 hours. Several age groups will compete in individual, two-person,and four-person divisions.
Along with the competition, well over a hundred new caches will be hidden across the metro area, with the cooperation of USACE, Iowa DNR, Polk County Conservation, and Iowa's fabulous caching community.
