From Tides to Trails – X Marks the Maritimes
Maritime Mega VII (MMVII)
The Maritime Mega returns in 2027, and you're invited to experience amazing East Coast geocaching in Fredericton, New Brunswick!
The Maritime Mega has become one of Canada's premier geocaching traditions. It began in 2010, when more than 500 geocachers gathered in Dayspring, Nova Scotia, for the first Maritime Geobash. Since then, the event has travelled throughout the region, with Maritime Mega II: Caching the Capital! in Fredericton (2013), M3; – Maritime Mega Moncton (2015), Maritime Mega IV in Truro (2017), Maritime Mega V – Let's Connect! in Fredericton (2023), and MMVI in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia (2025).
Now it's time to write the next chapter.
From Tides to Trails – X Marks the Maritimes
From the world's highest tides to winding forest trails, From Tides to Trails celebrates everything that makes the Maritimes unforgettable. Whether you're returning to reconnect with old friends or making your first trip to the Maritimes, you'll discover spectacular caching, breathtaking scenery, and the warm hospitality our region is known for.
The main event takes place on Saturday, July 10, 2027, at Journey Wesleyan Church on Fredericton's west side. This spacious, air-conditioned venue will serve as MMVII Central, where geocachers from across Canada, the United States, and beyond will gather for a full day of fun.
Registered attendees can enter beginning at 8:30 a.m. to pick up their swag bags, with Opening Ceremonies at 10:00 a.m. Enjoy workshops, vendor displays, games, prize draws, community exhibits, and plenty of opportunities to meet fellow geocachers, trade stories, and make new friends.
And because no Maritime Mega would be complete without celebrating our East Coast culture, join us Saturday evening for an authentic Maritime Kitchen Party featuring live music, great food, laughter, and the kind of hospitality that keeps visitors coming back year after year.
Explore hundreds of new geocaches and Adventure Labs created since Maritime Mega V, wander the beautiful trail system that follows the majestic Wolastoq (Saint John River), and discover why Fredericton is one of Canada's most enjoyable caching destinations. With more than 127 kilometres (79 miles) of interconnected walking and cycling trails, historic covered bridges, waterfalls, scenic riverfront parks, charming neighbourhoods, and caches for every skill level, there's simply too much to experience in one day. Plan to stay a little longer—you'll be glad you did.
Make It a Long Weekend
