Cheers to 40 years!

Wie beim Geocachen gibt es natürlich auch im echten Leben so richtig große Meilensteine.

Am 19.03.2026 ist so einer für mich - da heißt es dann tatsächlich: 40 and fabulous!

Und da man ja nicht jeden Tag rundet und ich in den letzten 11 Jahren durch dieses großartige Hobby

soviele tolle Menschen kennenlernen durfte, habe ich mir eine große Geoburtstags-Party gewünscht -

und meinem WinzerSchlumpf war das Befehl genug. :)

 

Seid also dabei, wenn es heute heißt: Back to the 80s! 

Lasst uns gemeinsam eine Zeitreise in das Jahr meiner Geburt unternehmen!

 

Das erwartet Euch:

- eine 80s Party im Krefelder Yachthafen - tolle Menschen, Musik und hoffentlich frühlingshaftes Wetter 

- 80s Musik vom Feinsten - wir haben einen DJ und hoffen auf den ein oder anderen Tanzbeinschwinger

- Geburtstagskuchen, wie sich das zum Jubilieren gehört

- Sektchen sowie Softgetränke und Bierchen zum Anstoßen - alles zu cacherfreundlichen Preisen

- Würstchen vom Grill, Currywurst und Nudelsalat

- Geburtstags-Labs - 60 neue Stationen übers Wochenende

Wir dürfen heute das Außengelände des Crefelder Yachtclub e.V. 1967 bespielen -

idyllisch im Rheinhafen inmitten typisch niederrheinischer Landschaft mit Ausblick auf einen der größten Sportboothäfen am Niederrhein gelegen!

Bitte beachtet - das Event findet outdoor und inmitten eines Landschaftsschutzgebietes statt.

Verhaltet und kleidet euch bitte entsprechend - vor allem witterungsbedingt.

Ihr kommt mit dem Auto:

Bitte parkt entlang der Bataverstrasse auf den Parkbuchten am Seitenstreifen

Im Rheinhafen gibt es sehr viel öffentlichen Parkraum, da werdet ihr sicher ein Plätzchen finden!

Auf dem Gelände selbst stehen uns nur begrenzt Parkflächen zur Verfügung!

Bitte parkt nicht in zweiter Reihe - Samstag ist ein ganz normaler Werktag im Rheinhafen!

Mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln erreicht ihr uns wie folgt:

Straßenbahn 044 | Bus 831 bis "Krefeld Rheinhafen"

von dort aus ca. 30min zu Fuß bis zum Gelände

Dresscode:

 

80s - je thematischer, desto besser
egal ob Kostüm, Originalklamotte, Filmfigur oder oder - seid kreativ!

Wer mich kennt, weiß ich liebe Mottos - egal ob bei Cacherunden oder Partys - wenn schon, dann so richtig im Thema. Wer mir also einen Riesengefallen tun möchte und den Spaß mitmacht, der schmeißt sich gern in seinen schlimmsten 80er Fummel, kommt im Ghostbusters-Outfit, als TopGun-Pilot, Aerobicgirl

oder eben auch einfach normal im Geocacherlook, vielleicht mit ner Neonbrille immerhin -

das gibt dann nur Abzug in der B-Note ;o)

Just like at geocaching, there are some really big milestones in real life.

March 19, 2026, is one of those for me - that's when I'll actually be 40 and fabulous!

And since you don't round up every day and I've had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people through this great hobby over the last 11 years, I wanted to have a big geocaching birthday party - and that was order enough for my WinzerSchlumpf. :)

So join us today when we say: Back to the 80s!

 

Let's take a trip back in time to the year I was born!

 

Here's what you can expect:

- An 80s party at the Krefeld marina - Great people, music, and hopefully spring-like weather

- The best of '80s music - we have a DJ and hope to see a few people hitting the dance floor

- A birthday cake, as befits a celebration

- Sparkling wine, soft drinks, and beer for toasting - All at geocacher-friendly prices

- Grilled sausages, currywurst and pasta salad

--> Tokens are available at the cash desk on site - 1 token = €1

- Birthday Labs - 60 new lab stations over the weekend

- New 80s caches in the Rhine harbor - I treated myself to a little tour

- Costume contest - Award ceremony at 4:00 p.m.

- Raffle with great prizes

 

Where:

Today, we are allowed to use the outdoor area of the Crefelder Yachtclub e.V. 1967 -

idyllically located in the Rhine harbor in the middle of the typical Lower Rhine landscape with a view of one of the largest marinas on the Lower Rhine!

Please note that the event will take place outdoors in the middle of a landscape conservation area.

Please dress and behave appropriately, especially in view of the weather conditions.

If you are coming by car:

Please park along Bataverstrasse in the parking bays on the side of the road.

There is plenty of public parking space in the Rhine harbor, so you are sure to find a spot!

There is limited parking available on site!

Please do not double park – Saturday is a normal working day at the Rhine harbor!

You can reach us by public transport as follows:

Tram 044 | Bus 831 to “Krefeld Rheinhafen”

From there, it is approx. a 30-minute walk to the site.

Whether it's a costume, original outfit, movie character, or something else – be creative!

Anyone who knows me knows that I love themes – whether it's for geocaching events or parties – if you're going to do it, do it right.

So if you want to do me a huge favor and join in the fun, throw on your worst 80s outfit, come as a Ghostbusters character, a Top Gun pilot, an aerobics girl,

or just your normal geocaching look, maybe with some neon glasses –

otherwise you'll lose points in the B grade ;o)
