Liebe Geocacherinnen und Geocacher!

Hast du schon einmal darüber nachgedacht, selbst einen Geocache zu verstecken?
Und dann festgestellt, dass plötzlich mehr Fragen auftauchen als Satelliten am Himmel?

? Workshop: Einen Geocache verstecken – von der Idee bis zur Veröffentlichung

Ich möchte euch in diesem Workshop zeigen, wie ein Geocache von der Idee bis zur Veröffentlichung entsteht.

Der Workshop kombiniert Theorie und praktische Demonstrationen rund um Cachebehälter, Tarnung, Koordinatenbestimmung und das Erstellen eines Listings.

 

? Was ihr im Workshop lernt

Bei diesem Workshop zeige ich euch:

• ? wie man geeignete Versteckorte auswählt

• ? welche Cachebehälter sich für verschiedene Umgebungen eignen

• ? wie ein Cache langlebig und wetterfest gestaltet werden kann

 

? Praxis – Planung und Bau eines Geocaches

Im praktischen Teil werden verschiedene Cachebehälter und Tarnmöglichkeiten vorgestellt.

Gemeinsam suchen wir einen geeigneten Ort für einen Cache und besprechen, welche Behälter und Tarnmethoden sich dort am besten eignen.


? Koordinaten bestimmen

Außerdem wird gezeigt, wie genaue Koordinaten mit

• Smartphones

• Apps wie c:geo oder Cachly

• oder einem GPS-Gerät

ermittelt werden können.

? Theorie – Vom Cache zum Listing

Im theoretischen Teil zeige ich euch, wie ein Geocache auf Geocaching.com eingereicht wird.

Dabei gehen wir gemeinsam die wichtigsten Schritte durch:

• Auswahl des Cachetyps

• Eingabe der Koordinaten

• Setzen von Wegpunkten und Attributen

• Erstellung eines ansprechenden Listings

Damit alle gut folgen können, steht im Innenraum ein Beamer bereit. So können wir gemeinsam Listings, Beispiele und kleine Tipps und Tricks anschauen.

Dieser Workshop soll euch inspirieren, eigene kreative und hochwertige Geocaches zu erstellen, die der Geocaching-Community langfristig Freude bereiten.

Dear geocachers!

Have you ever thought about hiding a geocache yourself?
And then realized that suddenly more questions appear than satellites in the sky?

? Workshop: Hiding a Geocache – From Idea to Publication

In this workshop I would like to show you how a geocache is created from the first idea to its publication.

The workshop combines theory and practical demonstrations about cache containers, camouflage, determining coordinates and creating a cache listing.

 

? What you will learn in this workshop

During the workshop I will show you:

• ? how to choose suitable hiding locations

• ? which cache containers are suitable for different environments

• ? how a cache can be made durable and weatherproof

 

? Practice – Planning and building a geocache

In the practical part different cache containers and camouflage options will be presented.

Together we will look for a suitable place for a cache and discuss which containers and camouflage techniques are best suited for that location.


? Determining coordinates

We will also show how accurate coordinates can be determined using:

• smartphones

• apps such as c:geo or Cachly

• or a GPS device

? Theory – From cache to listing

In the theoretical part I will show how a geocache is submitted on Geocaching.com.

Together we will go through the most important steps:

• selecting the cache type

• entering the coordinates

• adding waypoints and attributes

• creating an appealing listing

To make it easier to follow, a projector will be available indoors so we can look together at listings, examples and helpful tips and tricks.

This workshop aims to inspire you to create your own creative and high-quality geocaches that bring long-term enjoyment to the geocaching community.
